We’re Brittany and Shannon, the design duo behind Twigg + Lu. What started as a shared love for interiors (and a great friendship) turned into a full-service design studio built on creativity, collaboration, and a passion for creating spaces that feel like home.
The name “Twigg + Lu” is rooted in our childhood nicknames—Twiggy (Brittany) and Lucy Brown (Shannon) which are shortened to reflect both our personalities and our partnership.
With over 25 years of combined experience, we bring a thoughtful and personal touch to every project. Whether we’re working on a ground-up new build, a kitchen remodel, or a full-home refresh, we design spaces that feel as good as they look—livable, layered, and full of character that is unique to you.

Brittany Meidinger
Co-Owner/ Principal Designer
With 14+ years in the design world, Brittany brings big creative energy and an eye for details that make a space sing. She’s our go-to for bold choices like statement lighting, wallpaper, oversized art, and that perfect antique to bring a little history into the mix. Brittany loves working closely with clients to design spaces that are as stylish as they are deeply personal.
Born and raised in Moose Lake, MN, Brittany now lives in Woodbury with her fiancé, Lance, and their son, Hugo. When she’s not designing, you’ll find her thrifting for vintage treasures or living the ultimate mom life.
Shannon Knutson
Co-Owner/ Principal Designer
Shannon brings a calm, grounded approach to design, and focuses on creating warm, welcoming spaces that feel effortless. With a foundation in traditional interior design and a specialization in Kitchen & Bath Design, Shannon is uniquely equipped to craft spaces that feel like a personal retreat while meeting everyday functional needs. Her design style blends the timeless with the unexpected—modern, rustic, beachy, and everything in between.
A Wisconsin native, Shannon has called Woodbury, MN home for over 23 years. She shares life with her husband, Ryan, their two kids, Ava and Parker, and their lovable goldendoodles, Kramer and Elaine.
